Served as the Northern California Representative for The Department of Defense’s, Troops To Teachers program. Provides,recruiting, counseling and placement services for military veterans seeking jobs in education. Partnered with various military bases, school districts, county offices of education, colleges and universities in assisting veterans enroll in credential programs, complete credential programs and find jobs in school districts. Partners include: Travis AFB, Beale AFB, Lemoore NAS, Naval Post Graduate School and Defense Language Institute, University of Pacific, National University, University of Phoenix, UCLA, Saint Mary’s College, Chapman University and numerous Universities in the California State System. Member of Congressman John Garamendi’s Veteran Job Task Force planning team to network with organizations throughout California assisting veterans with job placement.
Sept. 2010 – Nov. 2010 – Served as interim Assistant Superintendent of HR & Business Services and Interim Transitional Support and Coach to the new Assistant Superintendents of HR and Business Services for the South San Francisco USD. Served as key consultant on their successful General Obligation Bond endeavor.
Sept 2009- March 2010 – Worked as a independent consultant for Compton Unified School district serving as a coach to the Chief Facilities Officer. Prepared a report that analyzed the budget and construction plan for their 2002, $200,000,000 General Obligation bond. Developed a 5 year Operational Facilities Strategic Plan for the district.
July 30, 2006 – Sept. 2009 – Independent consultant to school districts for school bond program analysis, strategic planning, facility planning with several California School Districts.

Responsible for school strategic planning , facility planning & construction, facilities maintenance, food services, technology, student safety, police services and disaster preparedness, & the district budget including the development , implementation and management of a $1 billion bond construction plan in a district with 5 cities, 51 schools & 33,000 students. Developed the planning process for 3 successful GEO bonds of $150M, $300M and $400M. Developed and implemented one of the first Project Labor Agreements (PLA) in the state in 2000. Managed and facilitated numerous community committees in the areas of: charter schools, facility construction and renovation, grade configurations, school closures, redistricting, & joint partnerships with cities and counties.

Bio
He served as an officer on active duty with the Navy in various positions in Charleston, SC, San Diego, Vietnam and Oakland, Ca.
He later became a teacher , counselor and administrator at the Jr High School level in California for 13 years. He had a history of developing training programs as an officer in the Coast Guard (CG) Reserve who brought him back on active duty to coordinate the CG enlisted Reserve Training Programs in Yorktown, Petaluma, & Cape May.
He later had CG positions in Hawaii, Miami and Alameda. He attended the Malcolm Baldrige Criteria Program and began developing and teaching Strategic Planning for CG units.
After retirement he was hired as the Associate Superintendent of Operations in the West Contra Costa School District. Using his Strategic Planning background he developed and directed the rebuilding process for the 60 schools in the district. He later joined Total School Solutions and helped districts in Marin County, Northern and Southern California develop their Strategic Plans.
He currently serves on the San Joaquin County Catholic Charities Board of Directors which yearly assists over 20,000 people in areas of: Senior Services, Community Benefits, Advocacy, Prevention &Early Intervention Services, to enhance the quality of life for all members of the community regardless of religion, age, ethnic, cultural and racial background.
