TK/K Paraeducators Workshop
Three 50–60 minute modules of this 3.5-hour training with interactive exercises and videos for each segment and subsection make up this program. Each bigger strand will be followed by a brief evaluation.

- Social-Emotional Development
- Language/Math Development
- Para Skills/Needs, Collaboration, Resources, Next Steps
Participants who successfully complete this session will be able to:
- Recognize the distinctions between a paraprofessional aide for TK/K and a paraprofessional aide for all grades.
- Identify the responsibilities and function of a paraprofessional in a TK/K program.
- Discover and comprehend the value of social-emotional development, strong social interactional foundations, the areas of environment, instruction, and the function of assessment, as well as strategies for promoting social-emotional development for ALL students.
- Learn about language development and how it affects social interactions, reading comprehension, cognitive development, and overall school success.
- Examine how all children’s language development relates to the environment, education, and evaluation.
- Learn why teaching young students number sense in transitional kindergarten is crucial.
- Recalibrate the key interactions and tactics that support number sense to better understand how the TK classroom environment helps the development of mathematics.
