Course Description

This workshop provides an overview of the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework and the entire continuum of intervention and support. The interventions & support encompass the whole child: academically, socially/emotionally, and behaviorally. This workshop highlights needed supports characterized through the MTSS framework levels, namely which are commonly referred to as Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. Participants will also get a grasp gain an awareness of ways in which to promote for promoting the academic performance of all students.

What You’ll learn:

The structure and purpose of the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework, including tiered interventions to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral student needs.
How to implement data-driven decision making, universal screening, and progress monitoring to identify and support students effectively.
The roles of the Student Success Team (SST) and collaboration among educators and specialists to design and deliver targeted interventions.
Procedures for determining eligibility for Section 504 plans and special education services through systematic assessment and intervention at tier three.
