Served as key consultant on their successful General Obligation Bond endeavor. Sept 2009- March 2010 – Worked as a independent consultant for Compton Unified School district serving as a coach to the Chief Facilities Officer. Prepared a report that analyzed the budget and construction plan for their 2002, $200,000,000 General Obligation bond. Developed a 5 year Operational Facilities Strategic Plan for the district. July 30, 2006 – Sept. 2009 – Independent consultant to school districts for school bond program analysis, strategic planning, facility planning with several California School Districts. Retired July 1, 2006 2001- 2006 Associate Superintendent, Business & Operations 1999-2001 Assistant Superintendent, School Support Services 1985-1999 Served on active duty as an officer with the USCG in various positions. Selected for O-6/Captain in 1999 prior to retirement. 1972-1985 Worked as a teacher, counselor and administrator in 3 California school districts. 1964-1970 Served on active duty as an officer in the Navy in various shipboard positions including officer in charge of the Navy ship APL 30 in Vietnam.

Bio | He served as an officer on active duty with the Navy in various positions in Charleston, SC, San Diego, Vietnam and Oakland, Ca. After retirement he was hired as the Associate Superintendent of Operations in the West Contra Costa School District. Using his Strategic Planning background he developed and directed the rebuilding process for the 60 schools in the district. He later joined Total School Solutions and helped districts in Marin County, Northern and Southern California develop their Strategic Plans. He currently serves on the San Joaquin County Catholic Charities Board of Directors which yearly assists over 20,000 people in areas of: Senior Services, Community Benefits, Advocacy, Prevention &Early Intervention Services, to enhance the quality of life for all members of the community regardless of religion, age, ethnic, cultural and racial background. |
